For stay in the small town Kanhangad, Raj Residency is a very decent place. Situated on town borders on the National Highway. Good accessibility. Autos are widely run, locally acceptable, safe and economical means of travel in winters in morning and evening hours. Hotel staff is courteous. They are always ready to help with a smile on their faces. Rooms are clean with basic amenities. Campus is good and spacious. One side is the village and other side is the back of bus stand. One may request for village facing room for better view. Food is really good. Only issue was breakfast is same every day with same taste. So if you love the taste, it is a paradise, specially for people from other region or culture. But if you dont like it, then be prepared to develop the taste for whatever is available. I loved coconut chutney. Flavour was very different from what is otherwise available elsewhere. We had organized training batches in the Hotel. Ruby Hall is a good venue for group activities for a batch of 30-35 participants. But acoustics are not good. Adjoining washrooms are clean and housekeeping was on their toes to ensure cleanliness. Back gate leads to the country side where one can go for walk. Beach is also not far away, but one must not trust Google maps much. All in all a satisfactory stay in the small hotel.

Just staying at the Raj Residence. It has been absolutely fantastic with wonderful and attentive staff. The food is very good with traditional Kerala yellaappam, idli, thosai. The sambar was very tasty and vegetables fresh. They even made me a full flask of masala tea at no extra cost. The room is very clean and huge bed for a single person. I will definitely come back again as this offers the most convenience to go to different parts of the city including the mountain and the fort. Thank you for an amazing and peaceful stay... 👍👍😍

The decoration is simple and cozy. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is perfect to explore the town.Very enjoyable stay and would highly recommended.Rooms were neat We tried the food at Raj Residency for the first time and the food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. The waiters were attentive and service overall was good. Overall a good meal and great value we will certainly be going back.

Booked the hotel fortwo days on 26th and 27th. But cancelled after first day. The tariff is exhorbitant. Breakfast included. But not in style of American breakfast. But rate is that of international hotels. Rooms are hygeinic.The rate should be limited to that of higher end budget hotels

Its at a nice location but the property really need major overhaul and up-gradation. The internet never works. The room furniture is too old and worn out. You need to struggle to open and close room doors. Not worth staying if you are looking for a decent place to stay.
